I've been half writing blogs but not getting round to actually posting them, which is really annoying. I kind of thought I would end up like that as I'm incredibly uselessa t commiting myself to something a lot of the time, unless I will get some guaranteed result, which with this blog, I was not. But I'm trying, trying trying.
Anyway, the title of today's blog is that of a song that has played every time I have been in Topshop as of late, and it's really catchy.
So, currently I'm in the middle of my 10 hour Art Exam. We have 5 hours one day, 5 the next. I'm REALLY enjoying it! It has gone so fast and I'm having so much fun, I'm going to be a bit gutted when It's finished if I'm honest!
My topic for the exam is Mixed Media : Lost and Found. So for this, I'm making a collagey, canvassey, murally type piece and it's REALLY big! I'll update a picture tomorrow eve as it will be complete then! :D
One of my incomplete blogs was another one about cycling. I think I'm going to end up making this Diaries of an Urban Cyclist or something. But it's fun, it's unique! Hahaha.
Anyway, I got the most fabulousss notepad to use for my leavers book. It had blue paper which to be honest, I'm not that thrilled about, but the cover is AMAZING. It's all Hawaiian themed. It's brill.
Anyhows, that's enough rambling about NONSENSE for today
- S
Something to do today: Dance like any hawaiian woman would be proud of.
Something to listen to today: Headlock - Esser (it's not the most fantastic song, but it is REALLY catchy.)

On the other side the grass is greener...
Hello, hello!
I have been dreaming recently, quite a lot about this summer for this summer will be not one month long, but three! I feel it is the opportunity to do many many new things, and I cannot wait! I'm taking it as a challenge and creating myself a list, in my head of everything I want to acheieve.
Do you know something I do want? A new watch. Preferably this one:
but they have sold out in EVERY colour. Not cool! (Apologies about the extremely small picture.) So until they are in stock I've seen a fun digital one at River Island that might do.. ahh my life is so hard. (Note: joke)
Just to let you all know, I did cycle into town again the other day, just for the Tandoori scent of loveliness, but I ended up having to get the train home (with bike) because I needed to meet my Mum to get tickets for our trip to London next week :D:D.
I have a fantastic story about that actually.. I went to London on the 7th of March for London Fashion Weekend (which itself was brill) but unfortunately on the way back to King's Cross, my wallet was stolen! With my Mum on the train home we spent £13 cancelling all my cards and alerting both London Lost and Found and Transport For London Police (those titles are most probably the wrong way around, they are both similar though) and you will never guess what happened... just near a month later, I got a letter through the post (forwarded from my bank) from Lost Property saying they had found my wallet!!! The man said a lot of the time, people steal them, take the cash and dump the rest. Amazingly, it still has my £5 Accesorize voucher in (bonus) and my irreplaceable Roxy card. Woop diddy woop.
So anyway, collecting that is the main reasoning behind our journey and then because we are both reasonably poor, instead of shopping we are going to be tourists and go see the sights! I'm rather excited.
Anyway I fear I have rambled for no particular reason, which is never a good thing, so I shal leave. Until next time!
Something to do today: think of something you want to do this Summer, something achieveable, and plan your doing of it. It's then incredibly rewarding when you do it and also it gives you a chance to think of something you've wanted to do for ages and then actually get round to doing it!
Something to listen to today: Mr Pitiful by Matt Costa (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w--2CksJqkE) the video is good too.

"This is yet another project designed to help you Stay Fresh"
I'm starting again. This blog didn't reflect what I wanted it to. I wanted it to be an honest composition of things I've found, seen, thought and liked, and I became too wanting to match it to other teenage blogs and started to be like "Hey! This is what I want an outfit like"..that's not cool! SO! I'm starting again, and this time it's raw, it's honest. Take it away ...
Last night, I stayed up very late. I'd got reading the blog of the marvellous, marvellous man that is Jason Mraz. I went to see him last week in Manchester, and he was truly brilliant! The support acts Marit Larsen and Two Spot Gobi made the already fantastic night, even better! Check my music player up top for some of their music! I shall write a blog about Jason, Marit and 2 Spot Gobi in the very near future, but today I have a few trivial issues I wish to emit to my virtual friends.
Here we go..
The weather is warm and almost summery, so I decided to take a risk and cycle the 2.5 miles into town, wearing my tightest pair of trousers, which for a start was not so much a risk, but just a bad idea. Luckily they kept in one piece although it did create some worried walking to begin with just in case! I love the bike ride into town, but it is always hazardous as the cycle lanes are so haphazard so it's a bit of a guessing game whether or not you're breaking the law or putting yourself in danger. There is one bit of the journey I do love, and that is on the way home, you have to take a different route due to a one-way street, past the most fantastic smelling Tandoori take-away, but today lo and behold the door was shut and the lights were off! I'm sure the journey back felt twice as long because of this! I was truly dissapointed. I now feel the need to cycle in tomorrow also, just incase they are open then!
Just for reference, my trousers lasted both the journey there and back, but they are now at the back of my wardrobe waiting for my butt to shrink and be reworn and reloved. I sit here writing this in my Gap loungers - pure luxury!
Something I do have to celebrate is that my 'On The Go Playlist 2', lasts exactly the time between my garage and the bike racks next to the river - always a bonus!
I've been looking for the perfect shoes for prom but due to my awkwardly sized feet (wide in general, large big toe bone with a thin heel/ankle area) I have not yet achieved my search - until today where I came home with TRAGEDY: two pairs! I now have to decide between the ones I prefer and the ones I can walk in. Oh teenage angst..
Anyway, another brief insight into my marvellous life is that I am going out tonight to one of my friends houses to finally watch last weeks Gossip Girl - my weekly Dan Candy. I cannot wait.
Something to do today: Go look at Jason Mraz's blog: http://freshnessfactorfivethousand.blogspot.com/ it is truly inspiring (although admittedly today's is about farting at the gym. If you like, you can skip past it.)
Something to listen to today: Sunshine Lady - Two Spot Gobi.
Deep breaths, keep calm, smile,

He called me babe, all night long.
Introducing: One eskimO - my new favourite animated band! I just dicovered one eskimo, who's link appeared on myspace when I went to log in this afternoon! They are brilliant, have a look!
One eskimO 4-play piece
If you can't see the vid above, here's the link: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=52884544
They're a fantastic band who work with graphics and audio.
I personally think the song that plays at the beggining of the video, Kandi, sounds a bit like Will Young and Adele in parts! Is it just me?

Take it from Thandie
"It is grotesque how out of control manufacturing has become, and the excess, the pollution that's caused by it. Vintage is not only glorious and stylish, it's also the way forward in terms of recycling. Whenever I go into great vintage stores, I wonder why we ever buy new things." - Thandie Newton
My brother just sent me a link to an American website that combines beautiful photography and marvellous clothes to sell vintage apparel.
http://www.bluebirdvintage.com/
The company sells womens vintage clothing both on its website and via their ebay store:
http://stores.shop.ebay.com/BLEUBIRDVINTAGE
My favourite item they are selling right now is this 50's party dress! I think it would look really gorgeous with a black waistbelt and some black punky booties or without the waistbelt, a string of pearls and some nude shoes (like on the photo). I think this dress could be really versatile, and almost worth the $168 its going for!
Anyway, bleubirdvintage/bluebirdvintage not only sells vintage gear, it also has a blog which features either new products, interviews with fashionistas, music interviews and much more! Also on their blog is an amazon linked playlist of some great up-and-comers like She & Him, and older legendary bands such as Led Zeppelin.
Check out She & Him on myspace, they're really good! Zoey Deschanel is amazing!

When I look at the ground, the words are written in the dust.
So it's been 3 months since I last posted!! I'm really sorry! I've been so busy, but everything's back on track now, so I should be posting more often!
Last week (On Feb 12.) I went to see a brilliant band called This Town Needs Guns for the second time. you should go listen! I personally think their older stuff was better (listen to: If I sit still, maybe I'll get out of here), more catchy, but their new album Animals contains some good songs! I especially like Pig & Baboon. You can listen them both on their myspace, as posted above!
It was the second time I had seen TTNG, and they were as great as ever! Their guitarist, Dan, left the band last year to be with his pregnant wife, and his replacement Jamie, seemed really great! Well, what we saw of him!
I went along with 3 of my best friends and we got a special mention for our cheering at the end! It was brilliant! :D They are such a friendly bunch of guys!
Their support bands: Lost from Atlas, Wintermute and Itch were pretty good too. The first two especially! These three bands are also on myspace, if you want to go listen.
I hadn't been to a gig in AGES, and going to such a good one made me realise how much I missed them!
I didn't get any photos of the gig, as when I went skiing in January I managed to pretty much destroy my camera and am awaiting a new one! For the second part, I am excited! :D :D
I shall dedicate an upcoming post to my skiing holiday I think, as there is lots to tell, and lots of pictures to show you!
With love xxxxxxxx
